The fever of Baseball

Baseball is a popular sport in Taiwan, fans are roaring, crying and enjoing the moment during ball games.It is also my favorite sport, especially many famous baseball stars, such as Cheng-ming Wang(王建民) and Hon-chi Kuo(郭泓志), are from Tainan, which is also my hometown.The origin of baseball was from America. People combined two games, cricket and rounder, to create a new game, this was the antecedent of baseball. It was named baseball and made simple rules by Abner Doubleday in 1839.Then a man, Alexander Cartwright, " Father of Baseball", wrote the regulations and held a baseball team in 1845.Baseball is a kind of professional sport now.The first professional baseball team was" Red Stocking Club" in Cincinnati in1869.Baseball has become a famous sport until now.

In my childhood, when the Chinese Taipei Baseball Team first time beat the powerhouse of baseball "Cuba", people in Taiwan were all crazy about this event, whether you were a baseball fan or not.People wellcomed them and paraded along the street.Players became national heroes, and also my heroes.Baseball is a kind of honor at that time."I will be the greatest player" I thinked that in my mind, but eventually my dream didn't come true.Now I still like to watch baseball and concern about baseball news.

Watching baseball games can release my stress after a tiring day.Never mind fans will disgust you when you are making noise or roaring because you can find all the fans are doing the same thing like you.You can eat the food and drink, relax your body during the ball games.We appreciate player's nice play, and encourage them when they lose the game.Players and fans are like a family, because we have the same belief "to win the champion".

Baseball is also a charming sport, it is always unpredictable.Team work is the most important part of baseball; if someone made a error, wrong dicision, even the player ran too slowly, the result would be changed.You never know what will happen at the time.Different situtions also influence the final result, such as the weather, umpires, ground, and coach's stradegies.But no one can controll all the situation completely.

Baseball was a traditional sport over one hundred years.This year Cheng-Ming Wang(王建民) performed a great season in MLB(Major League Baseball, the most high level of baseball).He lets many people know that he comes form Taiwan(some people dubbed his name and call him "Glory of Taiwang"), our island.Now many young players are going to America or Japan to accept challenges and chase their dreams.They are diligent, advanced and want to be
successful.It also inspires me. If you have a dream, try to do it!

A dance party invitation

The life of my college

Dear Bill,
Today is Thursday and tomorrow is the Mid-autumn festival, I send my regard to you.What are you going to do during this holidays?Whatever you do, enjoy holidays.This is my first semester in the college, everything is fresh and I meet many people on compus.My major is Applied Enghlish, but I need to learn two extra languages in the class, they are Japanese and Franch.Japanese is common because we ofte hear it or read it on TV or magazines, but Franch is really a brand-new language to me, it's so strange and would be a new challenge.Don't worry about me, the second and third foreign language can make me more competitive to conmmunicate with foreigners, so I still insist on learning extra languages.

Most of my clssmates have to work at daytime like me, but that isn't a excuse to study bad.I think using my free time would be a important key in the next two years.
Perhaps it means I will be still busy on the weekend or holidays.Disscution is important, too.I will join a study seminar with my classmates, Ronis, a guy from Taipei.We can do our assignments together and converse with each other.Our instructors suggest us to read more articles and recomand some language learning websites on the internet.Using practice on the websites may help advance our English abilities.They are good approaches in learning English, I hope I can recomand them to you, too.

The life of college is busy, but my parents encourage me to come back school, if I were without their supports, I would be nervous in the company and school.I really apprecite my parents and their kindness will be always in my mind.
